post-katrina

so,
things are really in disarray since katrina hit new orleans. the band
is scattered, and i have no idea where things will go from here. at
least we are all safe. karla and i are in san diego. we're both in grad
school here at ucsd. i'm in the philosophy department, and she's in
scripps working in geophysics. kevin is currently in houston, but i
don't expect he'll be there long. i don't know where he'll end up. i'm
trying to talk him into coming this way, but so far he isn't
interested. justin is in baton rouge with his parents. he's attending
lsu. i wish i had something more substantial to tell, but that's all i
know for now. the future of the band is up in the air. still, we've
been down before, so it's always possible we'll recover yet again. i'll
keep you up to date as i know more information. until then you can keep
up with us on livejournal if you're on there. we're jimpict,
karladevil, kevindredge, and justinfts.

long time, no
update
febrary 2, 2005
i know it's
been a long time since
the last update. i've had a lot of people email me to ask if we were
still around. the answer is a definite "yes," but we've been sticking
to our hometown, so there hasn't been much to write about.
we have several new songs, some that haven't even been played live yet.
we're also working on learning bad religion songs for this tribute show
in whiich we're participating. i'll keep you guys up to date on how
that progresses as well. that's about it. i'll update when there's more
to tell. take care,

the new site is up. it is what it

ready to die is getting
remixed and mastered. i think it's going to sound great when it's done.
i like the way it sounds now, but i think this will be even better.
mine, karla's, and kevin's other band, avw is
going on tour, so the picts won't be doing a lot for the next month.
however, we will be playing a show on september 11, so be ready. we
still plan on getting a lot accomplished before the year is up.

back
from tour
july, 2004
we're back from
tour. everything
went great. a lot of people were really cool us. i want to
send out a special thanks to ecto-1
and hatesville.
the guys in ecto-1 took great care of us in
ft. worth. we played a house show there, and it was the best show on
the tour. everyone was incredibly cool. thanks a lot guys. the guys in
hatesville were awesome as well. they
booked a great show, put us up, and fed us. thanks guys.
i also want to say thanks to aura-lee in chicago and elizabeth at
missing link records in indianapolis. we really appreciate you guys.

we leave for tour
in a couple of
days. we'll be on the road for a couple of weeks. go to shows
to find out where we'll be and when.

the tour is coming along. hopefully, i'll be able to post all the dates
in the next couple of
weeks.
i've had several people ask me about the e.p. we recorded. here's the
deal. the guy who did it
moved, and he's had a lot of stuff going on, so he hasn't sent up the
mastered copy yet. hopefully
i'll have it very soon. the moment i do i'll put up new mp3's. thanks
for the interest.
as a lot of you know, three of us are in another band, antarctica vs.

tour
in the works

thanks to
everyone who came to the
show on the 3rd. i think it was the best show we've played
in a while.
we're in the process of booking a tour for the summer. it looks like
it's going to be a midwest
and texas tour. it will be good to finally be back out on the road. i
feel like the only time
i'm not wasting life is when i'm on tour. i think the rest of the band
feels the same.
for those of you who don't know karla and i are going to be in a movie
coming out in the fall
called southern
hunger. check out the site if you get a chance.
